Connecting to the BBS from a terminal client

If you're on Windows, Linux, or Mac, SyncTerm is a great way to connect to the BBS if you'd like to use the oldschool experience. You can download SyncTerm at https://sourceforge.net/projects/syncterm/

If you're on Android, ConnectBot is a great choice. You can find that at https://connectbot.org and it is also available via Google Play Store.

If you're on iPhone/iPad, I can suggest the use of TERMinator, which you can find at https://apps.apple.com/us/app/terminator-bbs-terminal/id6759012939

Unfortunately, MuffinTerm on iPhone/iPad doesn't support SSH as of the time of writing, so I cannot recommend that yet.

The address for connecting is smalltimebbs.firehawke.net - use port 2234 via SSH on your client. If using SyncTerm, you'll need to go back and edit the entry to see the port number after initially adding the directory entry, then you can change it to 2234.
